Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Patient Care Coordinator, where you will be the vital link between patients and providers, ensuring smooth and compassionate care experiences. Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for patients via phone, email, and in-person communication, delivering exceptional customer service. Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using specialized patient management software and electronic health records. Verify patient insurance coverage, process billing information, and assist with health insurance inquiries in accordance with health regulation policies. Maintain accurate electronic health records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy laws while updating patient information promptly. Support medical administrative tasks such as data entry, document preparation, and managing correspondence related to patient care. Collaborate with healthcare provider to coordinate patient care plans, follow-up appointments, and necessary referrals. Ensure adherence to health regulation policies by maintaining a clean, organized office environment and following safety protocols. Skills Proven experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting with strong knowledge of medical terminology. Strong team player who works collaboratively with coworkers and providers, communicates respectfully, and is willing to assist others as needed to support the practice and provide excellent patient care. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication purposes. Familiarity with medical administrative support functions including appointment scheduling and billing procedures. Experience using patient management software and electronic health records for efficient data handling. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and client-facing interactions. Knowledge of health insurance processes, coverage verification, and related policies. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive patient information in compliance with privacy regulations. Strong organizational skills with accurate typing speed for data entry tasks.
