In this vital role, you will provide attentive, respectful, and personalized assistance to promote independence, safety, and well-being. Whether working in a residential facility, assisted living community, or providing home health services, your dedication will help clients lead fulfilling lives. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while fostering a supportive environment focused on dignity and respect. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing for any changes or concerns Administer medications following care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition Use patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, patient observations, and adherence to resident rights Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation Skills Prior experience working in group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health settings is highly preferred Strong knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and hospice care practices Ability to perform patient monitoring and assist with specialized needs such as autism spectrum disorder or neurodevelopmental disorders Proficiency in using care equipment like Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods safely and effectively Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration Knowledge of medication administration procedures and first aid/CPR certification is essential Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or intellectual disabilities is a plus Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional personal care that empowers individuals to live their best lives.
