The Role:
This role ensures a smooth and supportive patient experience by managing intake, coordinating with physicians and insurers, and organizing equipment pick-up and delivery for our Orthotics & Prosthetics department.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM What We're Looking For A high school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 1 year of front desk reception or administrative experience, preferably in a medical or clinical setting. Basic understanding of medical insurance terminology (referrals, authorizations, co-insurance). Proficiency with basic office software and the ability to quickly learn internal systems. What You'll Be Doing Greet patients and visitors upon arrival, check them in and out, and ensure the reception area remains clean, welcoming, and accessible. Distribute, collect, and review patient intake, ensuring all demographic information, medical history, and consent forms are accurately entered into the system. Schedule and confirm patient appointments for initial evaluations, casting/scanning, device fittings, and follow-up adjustments, optimizing the daily schedules for our clinical staff. Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances at the time of service, and provide accurate receipts. Answer incoming clinic phone calls and address basic inquiries. Manage incoming prescriptions and physician referrals, create accurate patient charts, and assist in tracking the progress of orthotic and prosthetic orders to ensure timely delivery of care.
