- About the Position
- A Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is sought to join an established outpatient psychiatry clinic in Columbus, Nebraska. This full-time opportunity offers a collaborative practice environment alongside a psychiatrist and multidisciplinary behavioral health team while providing comprehensive psychiatric care for patients of all ages.
- Full-time employed position
- Outpatient-only practice
- Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
- Hospital-based psychiatric clinic
- Team-oriented behavioral health environment
- Practice Highlights
- Provide psychiatric evaluations and diagnoses for children, adolescents, and adults
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide medication management and therapeutic interventions
- Collaborate closely with the psychiatrist and multidisciplinary care team
- Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic testing
- Prescribe psychiatric medications
- Provide patient and family education
- Coordinate referrals to specialty and community resources as appropriate
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Deliver evidence-based behavioral health care in an outpatient setting

- Qualifications
- Master's, postgraduate, or doctoral degree from an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program (CCNE or ACEN)
- Current Nebraska APRN license or eligibility for licensure
- ANCC certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
