Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the second shift to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to supporting patient well-being, demonstrating excellent communication skills, and maintaining a high standard of safety and professionalism. Schedule Monday-Friday 2-10:30pm Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using appropriate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support medication administration under supervision and ensure proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, utilizing memory care techniques and ensuring a safe environment. Collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans tailored to individual patient needs across various settings such as long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or hospital units. Maintain infection control protocols through aseptic techniques and proper hand hygiene practices to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Ensure patient safety during transfers and mobility activities by adhering to safe lifting practices and using appropriate equipment like Hoyer lifts or gait belts. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to promote understanding and comfort. Requirements Valid CNA certification with current licensure in the applicable state or region. Demonstrated experience in various healthcare settings including medical-surgical units, long-term care facilities, hospice care, or home health services. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, & physiology. Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively while maintaining proper body mechanics during patient transfers or manual handling tasks. Strong caregiver communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient service delivery. Pay:
From $23.00 per hour
