Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team for the second shift, working Monday through Thursday 2-10:30pm. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, with experience in various healthcare settings including long-term care, assisted living, hospitals, and home care. This role offers an opportunity to provide vital support to patients of all ages, including geriatric, while ensuring the highest standards of safety, confidentiality, and quality care. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to caregiving. Duties Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence. Monitor vital signs and document patient information accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards. Utilize appropriate patient transfer methods including Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safety during mobility assistance. Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures such as catheter care and wound management to prevent infection. Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare teams in providing comprehensive care tailored to individual needs, including dementia, Alzheimer's, and memory care patients. Skills Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring specialized dementia or Alzheimer's care. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic nursing procedures including vital signs monitoring and medication administration. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper lifting practices while maintaining patient safety. Strong caregiver communication skills with the ability to effectively coordinate with multidisciplinary teams. Ability to adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Competence in using patient transfer methods safely and efficiently across different settings requiring manual handling or mechanical lifts like Hoyer lifts.
