Job Description

Looking to fill a full-time evening shift, 2pm to 10pm, Monday thru Friday. $2.00 shift differential for 1/2 half of your shift.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Maintain Missouri certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant
  • Physically and mentally able to perform duties of position
  • Sufficient organization, documentation, typing, and computer skills
  • General Understanding of the aging process and the changes associated with aging.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
  • Love our neighbors (residents) and provide outstanding care
  • Provide residents assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs); document in the medical chart (electronic medical record) all personal care given.
  • Measure fluid intake and output and document
  • Provide residents with necessary supplies and track/document bodily functions
  • Take vitals and report abnormal vitals to nurse
  • Assist with repositioning, transfers, and/or ambulation
  • Give bed baths, tub baths, or showers as directed. Remain with resident while bathing. Clean and disinfect bathtubs/showers according to procedures after each use
  • Provide oral hygiene and denture care as directed
  • Keep residents/facility free of odors
  • Keep incontinent residents clean, dry and repositioned as directed
  • Assist with feeding residents as directed
  • Transport residents to therapy, activities, meals, etc
  • Read, know, participate, and implement the plan of care for each resident
  • Provide for post-mortem care as instructed, while showing respect and dignity to the deceased and their families
  • Operate resident assistive devices safely (Hoyer Lift, Wheelchair, Sit-to-Stand, etc)
  • Keep Linen carts stocked and covered
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment for residents and personnel
  • Keep halls, nurse's station, and utility and storage rooms clean and in order
  • Report unsafe equipment to the Charge Nurse
  • Use safe lifting techniques to prevent injury to self and others
  • Clean equipment as needed
  • All other duties as assigned
