Qualifications RN License Full Job Description Role Overview:
The RN Clinical Charge Nurse oversees daily unit operations, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care. They lead interdisciplinary teams, manage staffing, coordinate patient flow, and support clinical practices based on evidence-based standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assign patients considering acuity and staff capabilities. Monitor equipment, resources, and staffing needs; participate in resource planning. Conduct patient rounds to evaluate care quality and safety, utilizing peer coaching and corrective actions when necessary. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other team members for comprehensive patient management. Lead clinical initiatives, support performance improvement, and promote evidence-based practices. Mentor and precept staff, fostering professional growth and maintaining a healthy work environment. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards, including safety goals. Participate in interdisciplinary communication, documentation, and system processes to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Associates or Bachelor's Nursing degree; RN licensure (single-state or multi-state Compact). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; national specialty certification preferred. Minimum of 1-year nursing experience; 2+ years as relief charge preferred. Strong communication, critical thinking, leadership, and collaboration skills. Proficient in clinical technology and documentation systems.
