Job Description
Step into an impactful role providing essential Occupational Therapy support to students in a vibrant elementary school setting in the San Juan Capistrano area. This full-time contract opportunity covers a leave of absence from September through December and is perfect for a motivated professional ready to deliver hands-on therapy on-site. Flexible part-time options are available for those seeking alternative schedules. In this position, you'll work directly with elementary-aged students at Marblehead Elementary, providing crucial interventions during a period of ongoing change within the district. Your expertise will help students access learning and participate more fully in their educational environment as you collaborate closely with educators and families. What you'll bring: Valid and active California Occupational Therapist license Master's degree in Occupational Therapy Prior experience in a school-based setting, ideally with elementary-age students Ability to quickly acclimate in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving needs Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit Commitment to student-centered practice Please note: This position does not accept COTAs Key responsibilities: Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students as required by IEPs Assess students' needs and develop relevant intervention plans Document interventions, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings Communicate progress and strategies with educators, students, and families Adapt quickly to changes and provide support during district-wide shifts or board-driven changes You'll be part of a supportive atmosphere that values your expertise and offers the chance to make a daily difference in young students' lives.
