Qualifications & Experience:
Valid New Mexico Occupational Therapy (NMRLD) license required by start date Eligibility for New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) certification; pending status is acceptable initially Experience or interest in serving K-5 elementary students Ability to provide engaging, evidence-based therapy within a school environment Collaborative mindset and effective communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to meet students' IEP goals and maximize independence Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to foster student growth Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team Adapt and modify therapeutic activities as needed for student success
