We serve youth and young adults ages 4 to 33, helping them build confidence, physical health, and social skills in a safe and supportive environment. Position Summary UDID Academy is seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Physical Fitness Trainer to lead adaptive fitness sessions for individuals with a wide range of physical, behavioral, and developmental needs. The ideal candidate will design and implement inclusive fitness activities that promote strength, flexibility, coordination, and confidence. Key Responsibilities Create and deliver customized fitness plans for individuals and small groups Lead engaging and age-appropriate workouts adapted for all ability levels Monitor participant safety and progress, adjusting activities as needed Collaborate with support staff, caregivers, and therapists to align goals Maintain detailed session records, attendance logs, and progress notes Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and proper use of all equipment and facilities Provide positive behavioral support during sessions Attend staff meetings and ongoing professional development Qualifications Experience working with individuals with special needs (required) Certification in personal training, adaptive PE, kinesiology, or related field (preferred) CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain) Excellent communication and collaboration skills Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to inclusion Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings or weekends Physical Requirements Ability to assist and lift participants when necessary (up to 50 lbs) Physically active throughout the day: standing, walking, demonstrating exercises
