Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Market Director of Physician Enterprise Operations for Anesthesia, you will provide executive leadership and strategic direction for all employed anesthesia service lines. You will oversee operational performance, physician alignment, and provider engagement, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, accessible care across our communities. Every day you will serve as a key member of the Leadership Team, acting as a primary liaison to medical leadership, driving decision-making and facilitating the implementation of services that align with organizational objectives. You will be responsible for practice operations, physician relations, and fiscal performance, maintaining strict adherence to regulatory standards. To be successful in this role, you will bring a deep understanding of anesthesia program operations alongside a profound commitment to our Mission and Values. We are looking for a collaborative, team-centered leader who will serve as a change agent, focusing on innovation and process optimization to drive the best outcomes for our patients, providers, and the organization.
You will possess:
Demonstrated success in executive oversight of physician-led anesthesia programs and clinical service lines. A proven track record of spearheading strategic initiatives, clinical expansion, and sustainable operational improvements. Mastery of physician compensation, budgeting, reimbursement models, and complex healthcare financial regulations. Advanced working knowledge of modern EMR systems and data-driven tools to optimize clinical performance. Exceptional ability to build consensus and partner with physician leaders to foster a culture of high reliability. A history of driving performance excellence across multidisciplinary teams, specifically regarding quality, safety, and patient experience benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct anesthesia program operations, driving growth and long-term strategic planning while managing budgets and provider compensation. Optimize clinical workflows and staffing efficiency by leveraging lean processes, advanced technology, and data-driven improvements. Lead quality initiatives, ensure adherence to best practice standards, and maintain regulatory and contractual compliance. Build robust partnerships with physicians, clinical directors, and external stakeholders to foster collaborative care. Monitor and improve key metrics, including financial performance, patient satisfaction, and clinical outcomes against industry benchmarks. Cultivate a mission-driven, accountable team environment through effective leadership, recruitment, and professional mentorship. Job Requirements Required Bachelor's Degree A minimum of five (5) years management of hospital or clinic based physicians Risk Management and regulatory compliance as they relate to physician practice and the acute care environment Significant leadership in quality initiatives with definitive goal achievement Experience working with integrated care systems Preferred Master's Degree A minimum of eight (8) years of management in clinical and/or health system operations leadership Significant and proven leadership skills developed through several years in management positions within the acute care hospital or clinic based setting
