Qualifications:
Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field State licensure (or eligibility) as a School Psychologist Previous experience working with high school students preferred Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP processes, and effective interventions Proficient in conducting comprehensive psychological and behavioral assessments Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct counseling services to high school students, supporting their academic and emotional wellbeing Conduct psychoeducational evaluations, functional behavior assessments, and behavioral intervention planning Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Participate in student support team meetings, offering insight on intervention strategies and student needs Promote positive school climate by facilitating preventative programs and crisis intervention when necessary Maintain thorough documentation and comply with all relevant state and federal regulations
