School Psychologist in Saint Helens, OR

Job Description

Step into a vital role supporting student success as a dedicated School Psychologist on an onsite contract assignment. This flexible, 30-hour-per-week opportunity begins as soon as possible and allows you to make a positive impact while working closely with students, educators, and families. Your skills will be essential in evaluating student needs, providing interventions, and helping foster a supportive learning environment where all learners can thrive. You'll collaborate with school staff and participate in multidisciplinary teams to promote student growth and wellbeing.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program Valid credential/certification as a School Psychologist Experience conducting assessments, writing reports, and developing recommendations for individualized educational plans (IEPs) or 504 plans Strong knowledge of special education laws and procedures Excellent communication, consultation, and interpersonal skills with students, educators, and families Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload onsite
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for educational planning Provide counseling, consultation, and intervention services to students Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to develop strategies for student success Support the
RTI/MTSS
process and involvement in crisis intervention if needed Maintain thorough documentation and participate actively in meetings related to IEP and eligibility determination Foster an inclusive school climate, promoting mental health and wellbeing As a valued member of the school community, you will help shape positive student outcomes by offering expertise, compassion, and solution-focused support.
