Job Description

HCA Healthcare is seeking a CT Multimodality Tech to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team on a PRN basis. In this role, you will perform high-quality CT and additional imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate diagnostic results. Responsibilities include patient preparation, operating imaging equipment, adhering to radiation safety standards, and collaborating closely with physicians and clinical staff. You'll document procedures, maintain equipment, and support quality improvement efforts. Responsibilities Perform high-quality CT and multimodality diagnostic imaging exams according to physician orders and established protocols. Verify patient identity, review orders, and obtain relevant clinical history to ensure appropriate imaging and accurate results. Educate and prepare patients and families for imaging procedures, explaining steps and addressing questions to promote comfort and cooperation. Position patients safely and accurately, utilizing immobilization and shielding techniques while following radiation safety and ALARA principles. Administer or assist with IV contrast agents per protocol, monitoring patients for reactions and reporting changes in condition promptly. Operate CT scanners and related imaging equipment, troubleshooting basic technical issues and escalating as needed. Accurately document procedures, contrast usage, and patient information in the electronic medical record and imaging systems (PACS/RIS). Collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and other care team members to prioritize cases and ensure timely completion of studies. Assist in emergency and urgent imaging situations, including trauma, stroke, and other time-sensitive cases. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of imaging rooms and equipment, including daily quality control checks. Adhere to all hospital, departmental, and regulatory policies, including infection prevention, patient privacy, and safety standards. Support a patient-centered, compassionate care environment aligned with HCA Healthcare's values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation. Participate in ongoing training, competency validation, and professional development to expand multimodality skills and maintain current certifications.
