Job Description

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality respiratory care in a collaborative, patient-focused environment. In this role, you will assess, treat, and monitor patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions, manage ventilators and oxygen therapy, and respond to respiratory emergencies. You'll work closely with an interdisciplinary team, support education for patients and families, and ensure accurate documentation. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and deliver therapeutic interventions for acute and chronic patients Administer and manage ventilators, oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and airway clearance techniques Monitor patients' respiratory status, interpret diagnostic tests, and adjust care plans per physician orders Respond to respiratory emergencies, including code blue and rapid response situations Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, treatments, and home-care equipment Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to support patient-centered care Ensure accurate documentation in electronic medical records and maintain regulatory compliance Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, following infection control and safety protocols Required Skills Mechanical ventilation management Arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation Pulmonary function testing Oxygen and aerosol therapy Airway management and suctioning Respiratory emergency response (CPR/ACLS support) Noninvasive ventilation (Bi
