In this role, you will deliver high-quality respiratory care to diverse patient populations across our acute and specialty settings. Responsibilities include performing assessments, administering therapies, managing ventilators, and monitoring patient responses in collaboration with physicians and nurses. You will educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and equipment use, document care in the EMR, and follow all safety and infection control standards. Responsibilities Perform respiratory assessments and develop care plans for assigned patients Administer respiratory treatments, medications, and therapies per provider orders Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot ventilators and respiratory support equipment Monitor patient status, interpret diagnostic results, and adjust therapy as needed Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMREducate patients and families on respiratory conditions, therapies, and home care Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams on care plans Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards Participate in codes and emergency responses requiring respiratory support Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain clinical competencies Required Skills Respiratory assessment and care planning Ventilator management and troubleshooting Arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation Airway management and oxygen therapy Nebulizer and inhaler medication administration Pulmonary function and diagnostic testing Electronic medical record documentation Infection control and patient safety practices Emergency response and code participation Patient and family education
