Barista About the Role The Mark Coffee Shop, located inside the historic Mayo Hotel in downtown Tulsa, is looking for an energetic, dependable, and guest-focused Barista to join our team! We proudly serve Starbucks® beverages and are looking for someone who enjoys creating great drinks, providing exceptional service, and making every guest feel welcome. Previous Starbucks or barista experience is highly preferred , but we are also willing to train the right person who brings a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and passion for hospitality. As a Barista at The Mark, you aren't just making coffee—you are part of the guest experience at The Mayo Hotel. Our team is committed to providing friendly, professional, and efficient service to hotel guests, residents, visitors, and our downtown community. What You'll Do Prepare and serve Starbucks® beverages according to established recipes and standards Provide friendly, welcoming, and professional service to every guest Take guest orders and accurately process transactions through the POS system Maintain knowledge of beverage offerings, ingredients, and menu items Keep the coffee shop, service areas, counters, and equipment clean and organized Restock products and supplies throughout the shift Follow food safety, sanitation, cash-handling, and company procedures Maintain a professional appearance and follow uniform standards Work efficiently during busy morning and peak service periods Assist fellow team members and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment Put the guest experience first in every interaction What We're Looking For Previous Starbucks, coffee shop, or barista experience preferred Must have valid food handler and liquor license. Experience preparing espresso-based beverages is a plus Strong customer service and communication skills Friendly, professional, and outgoing personality Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing the physical duties of the position Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and service standards consistently Must be available to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays Our Culture At The Mayo Hotel, we believe in being Guest Obsessed.
