Job Summary Coffee House on Cherry Street is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Coffee Shop Service Worker to support daily café operations and provide a welcoming experience for guests. This role involves assisting customers, taking orders, preparing and serving beverages and food items, maintaining clean work areas, restocking supplies, and supporting the café team during daily service. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service. Take customer orders accurately and efficiently. Assist with preparing and serving coffee, tea, specialty beverages, and café menu items. Support food preparation, portioning, packaging, and service as needed. Answer customer questions about beverages, food items, and menu offerings. Operate the point-of-sale system and process customer payments accurately. Ensure food and beverage orders are prepared correctly and served promptly. Maintain clean and organized counters, tables, service areas, and workstations. Restock coffee, beverages, food items, cups, lids, napkins, utensils, and other supplies. Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and daily café setup duties. Follow food handling, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace safety procedures. Help clear tables and maintain a neat and welcoming customer area. Communicate customer requests, supply needs, and service concerns to supervisors or coworkers. Support team members during busy service periods to maintain efficient operations. Handle café equipment, ingredients, and supplies carefully and responsibly. Maintain beverage quality, order accuracy, and professional presentation. Perform other coffee shop service and customer support duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous coffee shop, café, restaurant, food service, or customer service experience is preferred but not required. Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Comfortable working in a fast-paced café environment. Good attention to detail and order accuracy. Willingness to learn beverage preparation and café procedures. Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow food safety practices. Reliable attendance and punctuality.
