The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the hotel to ensure exceptional guest experiences, operational efficiency, and financial performance. This role involves managing teams, maintaining high standards of guest service, and ensuring compliance with hospitality industry best practices. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in hotel management, including familiarity with property management systems (PMS), hospitality reservation systems, and hotel guest service standards. A strong focus on leadership, communication, and strategic planning is essential to drive the success of the property. Responsibilities Oversee daily hotel operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning across all departments. Lead and manage hotel staff, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring team members are motivated and well-trained. Maintain high standards of guest relations by ensuring exceptional service quality and addressing guest concerns promptly. Manage financial aspects of the hotel, including budgeting, revenue management, and controlling operational costs. Utilize property management systems (PMS) and hospitality reservation systems to optimize booking processes and operational workflows. Implement and uphold hotel guest service standards to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty. Develop strategic plans to improve hotel performance, including marketing initiatives and operational improvements. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, health standards, and company policies. Collaborate with ownership or corporate teams to align hotel goals with broader organizational objectives. Monitor industry trends and incorporate best practices from IHG experience to maintain competitive advantage. Qualifications Proven experience in hotel management or a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of hotel management operations, including guest services, team management, and financial oversight. Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and hospitality reservation platforms. Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and communicate effectively across departments. Demonstrated ability to oversee budgets, manage resources efficiently, and drive profitability. Experience working within or understanding of IHG standards is preferred.
