Responsibilities Safely handle and transport food orders from the kitchen to dining areas using proper manual handling and safe lifting practices. Ensure all dishes are prepared according to quality standards before serving or plating for presentation. Assist with food running duties by delivering hot and cold items efficiently while maintaining food safety standards. Support the front-of-house team by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas through regular cleaning and sanitation. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to confirm order accuracy and special requests. Help with food preparation tasks as needed, including portioning, garnishing, or organizing ingredients in the kitchen. Maintain guest services excellence by providing friendly, attentive in-person customer service and supporting overall hospitality efforts. Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including food running, serving, or banquet experience. Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices; physical stamina is essential. Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order management. Experience with cleaning, bussing, and maintaining cleanliness standards in a busy restaurant setting. Knowledge of hospitality principles with a focus on guest services and customer satisfaction.
