Recruiting Coordinator Our client, Plastikos, is North America's premier supplier of precision injection molded custom electronic and medical components. The company has specialized in solving the most difficult injection molding and moldmaking problems with in-house engineering, materials expertise, tight-tolerance molding, and precision tooling for over 40 years. Plastikos has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join their Management Team. The Human Resources Manager will identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives that elevate the performance, effectiveness, and efficiency of the HR Department as well as the larger Plastikos Medical, Micro Mold & Plastikos Team. This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for the full HR function across multiple companies, physical sites, departments, and shifts. Position Overview The Recruiting Coordinator owns day-to-day talent acquisition and onboarding coordination for hourly production, skilled trades, technical, and salaried openings. Working closely with hiring managers and the Human Resources Manager, this role builds reliable candidate pipelines, provides an organized and welcoming candidate experience, and supports training, engagement, and responsive HR service. The coordinator works within approved staffing plans, selection practices, and compensation parameters. Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition & Candidate Experience Coordinate full-cycle recruiting for production, maintenance, tooling, quality, engineering, warehouse, and administrative positions across shifts and sites. Partner with hiring managers to confirm requirements, interview plans, selection criteria, and target timelines before searches begin, within approved requisitions and staffing plans. Prepare and post job advertisements; source candidates; review applications; conduct initial screens; schedule interviews; and communicate promptly with candidates and hiring teams. Coordinate offers and preemployment steps, including background checks, drug screens, physicals, references, and eligibility documentation, in accordance with company policy and applicable law. Build pipelines through high schools, technical schools, colleges, workforce agencies, apprenticeship programs, employee referrals, job fairs, and community organizations. Onboarding Training & Engagement Manage new-hire orientation logistics and partner with the HR Administrator on accurate forms, system setup, benefits information, and first-day readiness. Support onboarding check-ins, stay and exit interviews, employee events, recognition, communications, and engagement initiatives. Coordinate training schedules, attendance records, supervisor resources, and employee development logistics. HR Operations & Continuous Improvement Maintain accurate applicant tracking data and report on openings, applicant flow, source effectiveness, time-to-fill, offer acceptance, early turnover, and recruiting spending. Use recruiting and early-tenure results to recommend improvements to sourcing, candidate communication, and onboarding. Provide responsive front-line HR support, route sensitive or complex matters to the HR Manager, and protect confidential information. Maintain cross-training in core HR administrative processes and provide coverage during absences or peak workloads. Additionally, the minimum job qualifications and skills for this position include: Associate degree in human resources, business, communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Two or more years of recruiting, staffing, HR coordination, or high-volume administrative experience. Ability to manage multiple openings, deadlines, and stakeholders with accurate documentation and consistent follow-through. Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to build rapport with candidates and employees at all organizational levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with an applicant tracking system, HRIS, or similar business system. Discretion, sound judgment, and willingness to work primarily on-site and support recruiting needs across multiple shifts. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree and/or SHRM-CP, PHR, or talent acquisition credential. Manufacturing recruiting experience, particularly in injection molding, skilled trades, maintenance, tooling, quality, or engineering. Experience developing school, apprenticeship, workforce, and community recruiting partnerships. Experience with structured interviewing, recruiting metrics, and retention-focused onboarding. Work Environment Professional office setting with periodic presence in manufacturing areas, including ISO-controlled and cleanroom environments after required training. Frequent computer and in-person communication, with the ability to move through the facility, observe operations, wear required PPE, and occasionally lift up to twenty pounds.
