Job Overview The K9Edge, the North Shore's PREMIER Daycare, Boarding and Training Center, is hiring kennel attendants responsible for dog care and facility cleanliness. You will work with our dog handlers to ensure that all daycare and boarding dogs are safe, exercised, clean, and happy. This is a great entry level position for anyone interested in the animal care field such as dog training, grooming, animal control or a veterinary technician. This is also a great part-time position for commuter college students in the local area.. Key Responsibilities Assist Dog Handlers with moving dogs, monitoring solo dogs and play groups Assist Dog Handlers with exercising and playing with dogs. Assist Dog Handlers with feeding and provide water per instructions and schedule. Clean and disinfect kennels, play, rest and relief areas and equipment Experience No experience required. We will train. Prior experience working with dogs and dog handling skills a plus. Requirements A love for dogs Communicate clearly, follow instructions and ask questions. Stand and walk for extended periods, lift 50 lbs. bend, stoop, kneel and crouch and push/pull equipment Work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation solutions, animal dander and secretions. Work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and some holidays. We rotate weekends and holidays as much as possible. Shifts are 4, 6 and 8 hours in length. Early shift starts at 6a. Late shift ends at 8p. Must be dependable and reliable. If you are late for shifts, call out last-minute and/or frequently, this job is not for you. A valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation and live locally High school diploma or equivalent or attending

High School Pay:

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
