In this vital role, you will support the health and well-being of our patients through skilled technical procedures, critical care, and compassionate pet handling. Your expertise will ensure seamless veterinary operations, assist in emergency situations, and uphold the highest standards of animal welfare. Duties Monitor hospitalized animals' vital signs and provide critical care using veterinary anesthesia monitoring and intensive care techniques Assist with diagnostic radiology procedures, including X-ray imaging and radiology diagnostics, ensuring accurate positioning and safety protocols Perform laboratory work such as blood draws, phlebotomy, sample processing, and laboratory diagnostics to support diagnosis and treatment plans Administer medications, fluids, and treatments via IV insertion, vascular access, and other routes following aseptic techniques Support surgical procedures by assisting with anesthesia administration, patient restraint, animal catheterization, and surgical instrument preparation Handle animals safely using proper animal handling techniques and restraint methods for various species including dogs, cats, and equines Operate medical equipment such as radiology machines, laboratory analyzers, and anesthesia machines with precision and care Maintain detailed medical records using veterinary software and document all procedures accurately for each patient Skills Proven kennel experience combined with strong animal husbandry skills to ensure optimal patient comfort and cleanliness Extensive veterinary experience with knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy across multiple species Skilled in dental terminology and assisting with dental procedures to promote oral health in pets Experience in emergency medicine and critical & intensive care to respond swiftly to urgent situations Proficiency in veterinary anesthesia techniques including general anesthesia management for surgeries or diagnostics Ability to perform animal restraint effectively for procedures like IV insertion, blood draws, or radiographs Familiarity with diagnostic radiology procedures such as X-ray imaging and radiology diagnostics tools Strong client communication skills to update pet owners on treatment progress during overnight hours Capable of operating veterinary medical equipment safely while maintaining aseptic technique at all times Knowledge of veterinary laboratory work including sample collection, analysis, and interpretation of results Join us if you're passionate about animal health care!
