Robert Half is partnering with a Solo General Practitioner looking for a skilled Paralegal to support a busy litigation practice in East Haven, Connecticut. This role is well suited for someone who is confident managing court-related documentation, coordinating case activity, and keeping matters organized in a fast-moving legal environment. The ideal candidate brings hands-on litigation experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and legal stakeholders while working independently.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, edit, and finalize legal documents such as pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other case-related materials with a high level of accuracy.
Handle court submissions for Connecticut matters, including electronic filings, and confirm that all documents are filed correctly and on time.
Organize and maintain litigation files, case records, and calendar entries to support efficient case progress.
Monitor court schedules and procedural deadlines, taking proactive steps to help ensure timely responses and submissions.
Serve as a reliable point of contact for clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and outside parties regarding case-related matters.
Coordinate logistics for hearings, depositions, mediations, and attorney meetings, including scheduling and follow-up communication.
Support discovery activities by organizing records, tracking materials, and assisting with preparation for trial and other key litigation events.
Manage competing priorities across a high-volume caseload while responding effectively to urgent matters and daily legal support needs.
Provide broad administrative and litigation assistance to the attorney throughout all stages of active matters.
