Fire Protection / Life Safety Systems About the Position Fire System Installers is looking for a reliable and experienced Fire Alarm System Installer/Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting commercial and/or residential fire alarm systems and their components. Responsibilities Install and wire fire alarm control panels Install smoke detectors Install heat detectors Install horn/strobe and strobe notification devices Install manual pull stations Install monitor and control modules Install duct smoke detectors Install fire alarm power supplies and batteries Install and terminate fire alarm wiring Install and connect initiating and notification devices Read and understand fire alarm plans, drawings, and wiring diagrams Perform device testing and troubleshooting Assist with system start-up and commissioning Identify wiring and installation issues and correct them Maintain a clean and safe work environment Follow applicable fire alarm codes, company procedures, and job-site safety requirements Work with project managers, electricians, inspectors, and other trades as needed Qualifications Previous hands-on fire alarm installation experience preferred Knowledge of fire alarm system components and wiring Ability to read blueprints, plans, and wiring diagrams Basic understanding of fire alarm systems and life-safety requirements Ability to use hand tools and electrical testing equipment Reliable transportation Dependable, punctual, and professional Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to travel to different job sites within Georgia Preferred Experience Experience with fire alarm systems from manufacturers such as: Notifier Fire-Lite Silent Knight Siemens Edwards Kidde Bosch Other commercial fire alarm systems Fire alarm certification, NICET certification, or other fire protection credentials are a plus but not required. Compensation $20-$35/hour , depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
