Job Description

Role Overview Our residential community is looking for a reliable Maintenance Handyman to manage property upkeep, execute apartment turnovers, and handle general repair tasks. We need a hands-on professional capable of diagnosing issues and performing diverse maintenance duties with minimal supervision. Primary Duties Address and resolve maintenance requests submitted by residents. Prepare vacant units for new move-ins through comprehensive apartment turns. Fix common plumbing issues such as leaking faucets, toilets, and clogged drains. Ensure electrical systems function correctly by repairing switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures. Execute interior finish work including drywall patching, painting, and minor wood repairs. Diagnose and resolve appliance malfunctions to ensure resident satisfaction. Restore functionality to doors, cabinetry, and hardware throughout the community. Conduct regular property inspections to help prevent future maintenance issues. Support the team by maintaining common spaces and addressing exterior property needs. Notify management promptly when major repairs are identified to ensure timely resolution. Keep your workspace tidy to promote a safe and efficient environment. Adhere strictly to all safety protocols to protect yourself and the community. Qualifications Experience in property maintenance, handyman services, or general repair roles is highly valued. Proficiency in essential trades including electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry. Demonstrated ability to operate power and hand tools with a focus on safety. Strong problem-solving skills to independently address maintenance challenges. Excellent communication abilities to provide a positive experience for residents. A professional, dependable attitude with a commitment to workplace safety. Access to dependable transportation for daily work requirements. Possession of a valid driver's license is preferred. Physical Demands Capable of performing strenuous physical tasks including lifting, bending, and climbing. Comfortable utilizing ladders for both indoor and outdoor maintenance projects. Ability to navigate and work effectively within both vacant and occupied living spaces. Work Hours The standard schedule for this role is 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Compensation The starting wage for this position is $20 per hour.
