POSITION OVERVIEW

The Commercial Door Installer installs, services, troubleshoots, and repairs commercial doors, frames, hardware, and specialty security door assemblies at customer sites. When not supporting field assignments, this role works at the Harker Heights production facility and assists with carpentry and modular structure production. Domestic and international travel is occasional and based on project needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Required Install commercial doors, frames, and hardware, including STC, RF, fire-rated, and high-security door assemblies. Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, hardware schedules, and installation details to complete work accurately. Troubleshoot, adjust, service, and repair doors and hardware in the field. Support domestic and international customer installations, service, and repair assignments on an occasional, as-needed basis. When not traveling, support production at the Harker Heights facility by assisting with modular structure builds. Perform carpentry and general construction work, including wood framing, blocking, finish carpentry, trim work, plywood installation, drywall, and insulation. Operate hand tools, power tools, saws, drills, grinders, forklifts, and other shop equipment safely. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment and coordinate with project managers and other trades to support scheduled project completion.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Minimum 5 years of commercial door, hardware installation, carpentry, or related construction experience. Strong carpentry and general construction skills. Ability to read blueprints and accurately use measuring and layout tools. Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to obtain or maintain a valid passport for overseas travel. Ability to lift 100+ pounds and work from ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts.

$30-$40 per hour
