$30-$40 an hour based on experience We are recruiting an experienced Sinker EDM Machinist for a direct hire opportunity with an established manufacturing company in the Port Huron, MI area. This position is ideal for a skilled machinist with hands on Sinker EDM experience who is comfortable working independently, maintaining tight tolerances, and producing precision components. ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and monitor Sinker EDM machines to produce precision componentsRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructionsSelect and properly position electrodes based on job requirementsPerform machine setups and make necessary adjustments to maintain specificationsInspect completed parts using appropriate measuring and inspection equipmentMaintain tight tolerances and ensure parts meet quality requirementsTroubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments as neededPerform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean and organized work areaAccurately document production and inspection informationFollow established safety, quality, and manufacturing proceduresWork independently while communicating effectively with team members and supervisionQualificationsPrevious Sinker EDM machining experience requiredStrong understanding of EDM machining processes and precision manufacturingAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsExperience using precision measuring equipmentStrong mechanical aptitude and attention to detailAbility to perform machine setups and troubleshoot machining issuesAbility to maintain tight tolerances and consistently produce quality partsDependable attendance and ability to work the required 2nd shift scheduleOpportunity HighlightsDirect hire opportunity2nd shift4 day work week | Occasional Fridays based on production requirementsWell established and reputable precision manufacturing environmentLong term career opportunity with a very stable company INDQT
