Full-Time, Hourly Non-Exempt About the Role PRL Industries is expanding its machining operations in Lebanon, PA and is hiring experienced Manual and CNC Machinists across multiple shifts. These positions support precision manufacturing of complex components in a climate-controlled machine shop. Machinists are responsible for setting up and operating equipment, interpreting blueprints and machining specifications, selecting appropriate tooling and machining parameters, and producing parts to tight tolerances. PRL is hiring for two distinct machining tracks:

Manual Machinist:

Senior-level position requiring 10+ years of hands-on manual machining experience. This position is available on 1st shift.

CNC Machinist:

Production machining positions available on 2nd, 3rd, and weekend shifts, with compensation based on experience. What You'll Do Set up and operate machining equipment to produce precision components. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Select appropriate speeds, feeds, cutting tools, and workholding methods. Use precision measuring and inspection tools to verify completed work. Machine parts to tight tolerances, potentially as close as .0002". Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain dimensional accuracy and quality. Perform routine machine and equipment maintenance. Verify documentation corresponds with parts and accurately record completed work. Use hand tools and measuring equipment throughout the machining process. Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and material-handling equipment as needed. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. Work independently with limited supervision following training. Manual Machinist Requirements (1st Shift) This is a senior-level manual machining position requiring extensive hands-on machining experience. 10+ years of manual machining experience required. Experience operating horizontal mills. Experience operating vertical turning lathes. Experience operating Bridgeport vertical lathes. Experience operating horizontal and vertical band saws. Strong blueprint and machining drawing interpretation skills. Strong understanding of speeds, feeds, cutting tools, and workholding. Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment. Strong shop math, trigonometry, and GD&T knowledge. Ability to independently set up and operate equipment with minimal supervision. CNC Machinist Requirements (2nd, 3rd, and Weekend Shifts) Previous CNC machining experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Experience setting up and operating CNC machining equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and machining drawings. Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment. Understanding of speeds, feeds, cutting tools, and workholding methods. Working knowledge of shop math and GD&T. Ability to work independently following training. Familiarity with G and M codes and the ability to make minor edits at the machine is preferred. Programming is not the primary responsibility of this position. Nice-to-Have Skills Experience machining castings and other complex components. Experience with horizontal and vertical machining equipment. Experience with vertical turning lathes or horizontal boring mills. Experience assisting with jigs and fixtures. Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes. Technical machining education or an associate degree. Who You Are A skilled machinist who understands machining fundamentals rather than simply loading and unloading parts. Comfortable setting up equipment and making adjustments to maintain quality. Strong at reading prints and translating specifications into finished parts. Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining tight tolerances. Safety-conscious and organized. Able to troubleshoot machining issues and work independently. Reliable and comfortable working in a production-focused manufacturing environment.

Shift:

11:00 PM-7:00 AM 3rd

Shift Training:

New hires train on 1st shift for approximately 2-6 months before transitioning to 3rd shift CNC Machinist

Weekend Shift:

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 12-hour shifts

Weekend Pay Structure:

Work 36 hours and be paid for 40 Overtime available

Fridays Compensation:

$30-50/hour based on years of experience
