Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our Manufacturing (MFG) team in Houston, Texas. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and programming CNC equipment to produce precision components that meet required specifications, supporting the assembly and repair of STATS' specialized equipment. This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Key Responsibilities Set up, program, and operate CNC lathes and milling machines. Review blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements. Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds to optimize machining processes. Inspect finished components using precision measuring tools to verify conformance to specifications. Perform preventative maintenance and daily checks on CNC machinery. Document production runs, maintain records of materials used, and ensure traceability. Follow all OSHA and company safety regulations in a high-risk industrial environment. Collaborate with engineers and manufacturing team to troubleshoot and resolve machining challenges. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED required; trade school or apprenticeship preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of CNC machining experience (lathes and mills). Proficiency with G-code programming and CNC control systems (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, Siemens). Strong understanding of machining principles, tolerances, and measuring instruments. Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints. Attention to detail, problem-solving, and time management skills. Commitment to safety and adherence to OSHA standards. Work Conditions Shop-based position in Houston, TX. May require overtime, evenings, or weekends depending on production needs. This is a safety-sensitive role; employees must comply with company substance abuse testing and fitness-for-duty requirements. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
