Responsibilities Operate POS systems such as Toast to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Handle cash register operations, including processing cash, credit card payments, and giving correct change while maintaining accountability. Manage food service customer orders by taking accurate orders, entering them into POS systems, and coordinating with kitchen staff for timely delivery. Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring quality standards and food safety protocols are followed at all times. Expedite food orders from the kitchen to ensure quick service and proper presentation for customers. Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to sanitation standards, including proper food handling and equipment cleaning. Support upselling efforts by recommending menu items and specials to enhance sales opportunities. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to food safety management practices. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries promptly and professionally. Assist with retail sales transactions at the counter, ensuring accuracy in processing payments and receipts. Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cashiering, or fast-food restaurant environments with a focus on quick service. Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast or similar platforms. Strong cash handling skills with basic math proficiency for processing transactions accurately. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely while maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude that enhances guest experiences. Previous experience in retail sales transactions or café environments is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining high energy levels and motivation.
