Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students as a dedicated Social Worker supporting schools in the Colorado Springs area. This full-time, onsite position spans the 26-27 school year and offers an opportunity to work with a diverse, K-12 student population across at least two school sites. You'll manage a caseload of around 45 students and be an essential resource in fostering positive educational, social, and behavioral outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
CDE license in hand, or eligibility to apply prior to start Prior experience as a Social Worker in an educational setting is preferred Ability to serve K-12 students, adapting services for various age groups and needs Strong organizational skills and the capability to balance responsibilities across multiple schools Commitment to maintaining high standards for student safety, well-being, and confidentiality
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess and address the social and emotional needs of students to support learning and overall progress toward educational goals Deliver tailored interventions and services, recognizing individual student interests, abilities, and challenges Supervise students consistently to ensure their well-being during school hours and related activities Employ strategies to develop students' critical-thinking, self-advocacy, and problem-solving skills Uphold institutional guidelines on health, safety, and education, while maintaining clear communication with families and staff Take the next step in your professional journey by providing meaningful support and resources to students who need it most.
