A New Leaf Counseling

Part-Time Independently Licensed Therapist (LPCC/LCSW/LMFT) — Independent Contractor

Job Description

A New Leaf Counseling is a small private practice in Rio Rancho seeking an independently licensed New Mexico therapist (LPCC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) interested in a part-time independent contractor opportunity. This is not a W-2 employee opportunity. This may be a good fit for a clinician who enjoys the independence and flexibility of private practice but would prefer to have some of the less-fun administrative pieces taken care of. There is no expectation to begin with a full caseload—or ever maintain one. You can build gradually and maintain a caseload that works for you. What the therapist will do
  • Choose the client populations they wish to serve and provide therapy within their areas of competence and independent licensure
  • Provide in-person and/or telehealth services based on clinician preference and client needs
  • Complete timely, clinically appropriate documentation and treatment planning
  • Maintain applicable professional, ethical, and licensing standards
  • Manage their own availability, scheduling, and routine client communication
  • Coordinate use of shared office space as needed What the practice provides
  • Comfortable furnished office space in Rio Rancho
  • TherapyNotes EHR
  • Billing, claims, and credentialing support
  • Referral sources
  • Flexibility in schedule and caseload
  • A low-key, collegial practice environment with substantial professional autonomy Qualifications Applicants must hold a current, unrestricted independent New Mexico behavioral health license (LPCC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent), maintain professional liability insurance, and be able to practice independently within their scope of licensure.
We're especially interested in someone who is ethical, clinically skilled, dependable, comfortable working independently, and committed to timely, high-quality clinical documentation. Schedule Part-time, with considerable flexibility in establishing your schedule and caseload. There is opportunity to increase your caseload over time if desired. Compensation There is no guaranteed compensation, caseload, or minimum number of referrals. Compensation is based on a progressive percentage of session revenue actually received by the practice, which varies by payer:
  • Completed sessions 1-20 per week: 60% to contractor
  • Completed sessions 21+ per week: 70% to contractor Interested?
Please apply with a résumé and brief introduction describing your clinical background, populations you enjoy working with, and what you're looking for in a private-practice setting.
Overview Benefits:
Flexible schedule
