Virtual Design and Construction IT Support Technician Cianbro United States, Connecticut, North Stonington Sep 14, 2026 In this role, you'll ensure our VDC tools are fast, stable, and consistently configured-minimizing disruption to design and construction workflows and keeping project teams productive. Job Responsibilities Support core VDC platforms: Troubleshoot and maintain Autodesk tools (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks) and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC/BIM 360)
Standardize software environments: Drive standardization of VDC environments across user groups, reducing tool sprawl, inconsistent configurations, and one-off user setups
Own the add-in ecosystem: Manage and support Revit/Navisworks add-in ecosystem (e.g., PyRevit, CTC tools, Procore integrations), including version control, compatibility, performance, and stability across VDC environments
Improve deployments: Build and refine repeatable installation and deployment processes in partnership with endpoint engineering (Intune, imaging, automation)
Optimize workstation performance: Manage system performance standards and specifications, Troubleshoot GPU, memory, and system performance issues impacting large models, rendering, and reality capture workflows
Support a multi-discipline environment: Assist users across architecture, mechanical, electrical, and VDC teams, working with a diverse set of design and engineering tools
Documentation:
Create and maintain KB articles, setup guides, and troubleshooting checklists to improve support quality and consistency
Enable and mentor IT support teams to improve first-line support for VDC tools and reduce escalation dependency
Troubleshoot model, file, and worksharing issues, including performance degradation, corruption, and version compatibility challenges
Qualifications/Requirements 3-4 years supporting VDC/BIM applications in a professional environment, preferably with engineering, design, or construction teams
Hands-on experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, or similar tools
Experience supporting or working with Revit add-ins and plugin ecosystems
Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC/BIM 360)
Experienced with managing complex Autodesk software deployments
Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, plugins, and performance issues
Strong knowledge of VDC system performance configuration, including physical and virtual Windows desktop environments.
Ability to work in complex environments and bring structure and consistency
Familiarity with Lumion, SketchUp, 3ds Max, or Recap

The compensation range for this position is $1,200.00 - $1,500.00 per week and is exclusive of any other benefit and/or bonus.
