Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Roll-off Driver, where you will play a vital role in the efficient collection, transportation, and disposal of waste and recyclable materials. This energetic position offers the opportunity to operate specialized trucks, including tractor-trailers and flatbeds, across various routes while ensuring safety and compliance with all federal and state regulations. As a key player in our logistics network, you will deliver exceptional service by managing cargo handling, load & unload operations, and maintaining accurate delivery documentation. Your expertise in commercial truck driving and route management will keep our operations running smoothly and sustainably. Duties Safely operate roll-off trucks, tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes and local pickups. Load and unload freight, hazardous materials (hazmat), or dangerous goods following all hazardous materials regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Use GPS navigation systems to follow optimized routes for timely deliveries and pickups across diverse locations. Transport waste containers or freight efficiently while adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including manual handling of cargo and truck components. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo manifests, delivery records, and incident reports in compliance with DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries, report issues, or adjust routes as needed. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred. Proven experience in truck driving, delivery driving, or logistics cargo handling—especially with tractor-trailers or flatbed trucks. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, DOT standards, and safety procedures for truck loading/unloading. Ability to handle manual tasks related to load & unload operations safely and efficiently. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments during deliveries. Strong understanding of over-the-road (OTR) driving routes and local route driving requirements. Excellent manual handling skills for loading/unloading freight or hazardous goods safely.
