6 Months +Ext CHS is seeking a Senior Business System Analyst to support and enhance commodity trade operations through strong business analysis, communication, and techno-functional solution support of SaaS, off-the-shelf, and custom applications. This role partners with CHS Trading, Risk, Middle Office, Back Office, and IT teams to translate business needs into clear requirements, support solution design, and drive high-quality delivery across the full project lifecycle. The position also provides ongoing application and integration support, including incident analysis, root-cause investigation, and production stabilization. The ideal candidate brings deep understanding of commodity trading and hedging processes, strong stakeholder management, and hands-on experience supporting

platforms in a functional or techno-functional capacity. Key Responsibilities Project Delivery & Business Analysis Lead end-to-end business analysis for hedging and trade initiatives, from discovery through stabilization and hypercare. Guide documentation of current and future-state processes, including process maps, controls, handoffs, and exception handling across front-to-back trade flows. Translate business needs into clear, testable requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and documentation. Partner with solution architects, product owners, and delivery teams to support solution design, configuration approach, and integration touchpoints. Identify data and reporting needs (positions, exposures, P&L, settlements, confirmations) and support alignment on definitions, sources, and reconciliation expectations. Support planning and execution of System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test strategy input, test case review, and execution coordination. Drive defect triage and resolution workflows: reproduce issues, document impacts, prioritize with stakeholders, and coordinate fixes with vendors and internal teams. Support deployment readiness activities, including cutover planning inputs, operational readiness checks, and stakeholder communications. Application, Integration & Production Support Provide functional and techno-functional support for hedging and trade applications, including day-to-day issue intake, analysis, and resolution coordination. Support integration monitoring and troubleshooting across upstream/downstream systems (e.g., market data, confirmations, settlements, accounting interfaces, reporting). Coordinate with vendors and internal support teams to manage escalations, track SLAs, and ensure timely resolution of production issues. Maintain and improve support models, including intake processes, triage playbooks, escalation paths, and operational runbooks. Analyze incidents and service requests, perform root-cause investigation, and document findings, workarounds, and permanent corrective actions. Develop and maintain operational documentation to improve support consistency and reduce recurring issues. Support production stabilization efforts by identifying recurring defects, process gaps, and control weaknesses and recommend and drive remediation plans. Participate in change management and release readiness activities to ensure supportability, clear ownership, and smooth transitions to operations. Collaboration & Influence Serve as a trusted partner to stakeholders and communicate clearly across business and technical audiences. Facilitate decision-making by presenting options, impacts, dependencies, and trade-offs and drive alignment on requirements and delivery outcomes. Promote disciplined delivery practices, including scope control, requirements quality, traceability, and test evidence. Mentor junior analysts and contribute to continuous improvement of analysis standards, templates, and delivery practices. Required Experience 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst supporting commodity trading and hedging processes in a functional or techno-functional capacity. Proven delivery experience across requirements, process mapping, solution design support, SIT/UAT coordination, defect triage, deployment readiness, and hypercare. Experience supporting production applications, including incident analysis, root-cause investigation, vendor coordination, and operational documentation. Ability to translate complex business needs into clear, testable requirements and to manage traceability through testing and release. Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to drive alignment across multiple teams and priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and professionalism. Preferred Experience Experience with ION XTP (or similar ION platforms) supporting trade processing, integrations, and operational workflows. Experience with ION Openlink (Endur/Openlink) in a functional or techno-functional role supporting trading and risk operations. Experience working in regulated or controlled environments with strong attention to auditability, controls, and operational risk management. Familiarity with market data, pricing, and reference data concepts as they relate to trading and risk reporting.
