Respond with Compassionate Action We are seeking a Program Management Advisor to join our Projects team in North Wilkesboro, NC. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In the role of Program Management Advisor , you will have the opportunity to: Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ Review and provide feedback on project proposals and reports from a program management perspective to promote adoption of effective program management principles. Build rapport with, coach, and develop core competencies in staff serving in program management and program development roles in field offices. If required, serve on the Incident Management Team (IMT) and potentially deploy on Disaster Assistance Response Teams (DARTs) in a program management role to ensure good program management practices are followed and to facilitate coordination between Program Manager and Information Officer roles. Develop tools, templates, and resources for Samaritan's Purse field office teams to promote adoption of recommended program management principles. Deliver virtual and on-site trainings for field office staff on program management topics. Other duties as assigned What are the qualifications? Serve with Excellence As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent with three to five years of experience in humanitarian disaster relief and humanitarian development work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, an opportunity to meet and complete the requirement is available upon hire. Ability to apply thorough knowledge of humanitarian project cycle management across disaster response and recovery programming, including strong analytical and strategic thinking to assess complex project issues and develop effective solutions. Ability to assess training and development needs quickly and develop relevant resources, tools, and training while effectively organizing information and managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, including presenting complex information and responding to questions from managers, staff, and other audiences with cultural awareness and sensitivity. Ability to work effectively in international and multicultural environments, demonstrating strong interpersonal and cross-cultural skills, independent problem-solving, and the ability to develop and carry out plans while using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
