A Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner provides mental health and nursing care to patients with psychiatric disorders, medical organic brain disorders or substance abuse problems. Diagnoses mental illness, develops treatment plans and prescribes medications. Teaches patient's family about the patient's condition. Works at hospitals with dedicated mental health unit, fully dedicated psychiatric hospital or in independent practice working from nursing homes and physicians' offices.

Job Description

Daymark Recovery Services is a non-profit provider of behavioral health services in over 30 counties in North Carolina. We are seeking a full-time psychiatrist or nurse practitioner with psychiatric certification and at least two years of psychiatric experience, or a physician assistant with at least two years of psychiatric experience, to work on-site in the Asheboro Center. Both adult and child psychiatry position available. Work consists of psychiatric evaluations and medication management with a team approach, including other disciplines and resources.
