For 135 years, it has contributed to the development of the country's transportation systems including the Interstate Highway System and a vast network of roads, bridges, airports, metros, and railways. Lane specializes in mobility, tunneling, and water resources to address sustainable development and climate change adaptation challenges. Description Prepares requests for quotation to be submitted to suppliers list. Receives the purchase request to initiate the procurement process. Researches, identifies & qualifies an approved list of supplier's vendor list. Defines and manages list of suppliers within the vendor management system. Sources vendors/suppliers for materials, services and subcontract needs. Analyzes/assesses and negotiates offers received from suppliers ensuring commercial verification. Analyzes proposals received from vendors asking alignment to requirements to the project team. Coordinates with the technical department to assess supplier proposals. Prepares a summary of final recommendation to be communicated with the requesting business unit. Oversees terms and conditions reviews of contracts in coordination with all the contract stakeholders. Manages the relationship with suppliers in accordance with internal governance & compliance requirements. Negotiates with vendors to achieve the most cost effective best and final offer. Prepares and releases the Purchase Order (PO) once the sourcing process has been completed. Performs internal & external benchmark analysis on products/services, and market intelligence on the supply base. Participates in vendor qualification. Performs other duties as assigned.
