Job Description

At Ferraro Foods, our Buyers do more than purchase products. They help ensure the right products are available at the right time by managing purchasing, inventory replenishment, and supplier relationships. Working closely with vendors and internal teams, they play an important role in keeping our supply chain running efficiently and supporting customers across the food industry. We are looking for a Buyer (Replenishment) who is analytical, organized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage inventory, forecast purchasing needs, and build strong supplier partnerships in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Bring to the Table Manage purchasing and inventory replenishment activities to maintain product availability. Analyze inventory trends, sales activity, and demand forecasts to support purchasing decisions. Source products and build relationships with domestic and international manufacturers and suppliers. Coordinate purchase orders and ensure the timely delivery of goods and services. Monitor supplier lead times and proactively help minimize product shortages. Assist with pricing audits and purchasing-related reporting. Monitor market trends, supplier activity, and competitive changes within the industry. Identify opportunities for new products and enhancements to existing product offerings. Partner with internal teams to support purchasing, inventory planning, and operational initiatives. Assist with purchasing-related inquiries and additional projects as assigned. The Ingredients for Success Food industry experience required. 2-5 years of purchasing, procurement, buying, inventory replenishment, or supply chain experience preferred. Experience working with imported products and international suppliers preferred. Experience with inventory replenishment and demand forecasting preferred. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail with excellent follow-up skills and a sense of urgency. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience using purchasing, ERP, or inventory management systems preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. The Details Location:
Cheshire, CT Schedule:
Monday - Friday | Standard business hours
Compensation:
$60,000-$90,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
