Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Buyer/Planner to join our vibrant Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing buying and planning activities across various manufacturing areas, ensuring the seamless execution of production activities. Your expertise will drive strategic purchasing decisions, optimize planning performance, and support the overall supply chain objectives. With a great opportunity to grow Duties 1.1. Create, review, and approve purchasing requisitions related to production builds. 1.2. Submit purchase orders to vendors for processing. 1.3. Assess and source potential new suppliers for cost savings when ordering existing or new parts. 1.4. Manage relationship with outside vendors on questions, quotes, Purchase Orders, and item receipts. 1.5. Assist in supplier qualifications, supplier evaluations, and re-qualifications. 1.6. Coordinate product returns with vendors through RMA process. 1.7. Evaluate Purchase Order requests against current business needs. 1.8. Negotiate shipping prices and transportation arrangements with contracted providers. 1.9. Provide support to manager as needed and perform other duties as assigned by the manager. 1.10. Develop and maintain material requirements plans based on production schedules and demand forecasts. 1.11. Source, negotiate, and purchase raw materials, components, and services from approved suppliers. 1.12. Monitor inventory levels, adjusting purchase orders to avoid shortages or overstock situations. 1.13. Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve supply issues and ensure materials meet specifications. 1.14. Track supplier performance, addressing delivery delays, quality concerns, and cost variances. 1.15. Maintain accurate purchasing and planning data in ERP/MRP systems. 1.16. Support new product launches by coordinating material availability and supplier readiness. 1.17. Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supply chain optimization. Skills 1.1. Education 1.1.1. Associate Degree in Business Management, Accounting, Finance or equivalent job experience 1.2. Required Experience 1.2.1.
