Job Description
Prolec GE is now part of The GE Vernova Group We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Sourcing Analyst to support manufacturing operations through effective sourcing, procurement, and supplier management. This role is responsible for ensuring material availability while optimizing cost, inventory levels, and supplier performance across assigned commodities. The Sourcing Analyst plays a critical role in managing the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, leveraging SAP/MRP systems, and partnering cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement and supply chain efficiency. Key Responsibilities Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, supplier selection, price and terms negotiation, purchase order placement, and delivery expediting Use SAP/MRP systems to analyze demand, inventory levels, and stock status to support production requirements Establish and maintain inventory planning parameters such as safety stock, reorder points, minimum buy quantities, and lead times Ensure continuous material flow to support production schedules while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory Monitor supplier performance related to cost, quality, delivery, and responsiveness Identify and resolve supplier issues, including late deliveries, quality concerns, pricing discrepancies, and invoice issues Support supplier development and improvement initiatives to strengthen long-term partnerships Drive year-over-year cost reduction initiatives through negotiations, sourcing strategies, and supply base optimization Analyze spend, lead times, and usage trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and inventory improvement Support total cost of ownership initiatives, including logistics, MOQ alignment, and payment terms Track and report key metrics such as inventory turns, supplier on-time delivery, cost savings, and past-due purchase orders Partner closely with manufacturing, engineering, quality, planning, and finance teams Support new product introductions (NPI) and engineering changes by ensuring timely supplier readiness and material availability Participate in component sourcing decisions and supplier qualification efforts Align sourcing strategies with business objectives and operational priorities Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field Experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain analysis within a manufacturing environment Proficiency with SAP and MRP-based systems Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make sound business decisions Effective negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a deadline-driven environment Why Join Us?
