Job Description
Procurement Specialist LHH is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage purchasing, inventory, and supplier relationships in a client's fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for sourcing products and services, negotiating with vendors, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery while supporting company cost and service objectives. This position is 100% onsite in Harrison, OH. This is a 6 month-temporary assignment (Possibly longer) and will pay between $25 and $28/hr. depending on experience and education. Responsibilities Source and purchase materials, products, and services while negotiating competitive pricing, quality, and delivery terms. Monitor inventory levels, identify excess or obsolete stock, and maintain appropriate quantities to support business needs. Prepare purchase orders, obtain supplier quotes, evaluate proposals, and negotiate agreements within established guidelines. Track orders, expedite shipments, and communicate delivery updates or supply issues to internal teams. Resolve supplier, product quality, receiving, and accounts payable discrepancies. Process returns, research alternative sourcing options, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Support internal departments with pricing, product availability, and purchasing-related requests. Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while identifying new vendors and sourcing opportunities. Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and supplier records and ensure compliance with company procedures. Requirements Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and related experience. Experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory control, or supply chain operations. Knowledge of inventory management, sourcing, and purchasing best practices. Understanding of freight, logistics, and transportation costs. Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other business software applications. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to customer service. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a high-volume purchasing or distribution environment. Experience with ERP, inventory management, or procurement systems. Professional purchasing or supply chain certifications are a plus. Pay Details:
