Purchaser Details:
Direct Hire position $60,000.00 to $90,000.00 /annually First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm) Attend project turnover meetings with Business Development & Operations team. Review job specifications and ensure accuracy within buyout packages Build and distribute drawing packages to qualified vendors for quoting. Prequalify vendors and subcontractors. Evaluate and select vendors based on product suitability, lead times, and job requirements. Track submittal approvals, and material lead times. Negotiate volume pricing and delivery terms to maximize company profit margins. Monitor stock levels of raw materials and hardware.
Purchaser Qualifications:
3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing, millwork, construction, or fabrication environment. Experience sourcing raw materials, hardware, subcontracted services, and custom components, including vendor qualification, RFQs, and price negotiations. Strong knowledge of purchase order management, inventory control, material planning, and ERP systems with the ability to track procurement activities from quote to delivery. Excellent analytical and organizational skills with experience monitoring project budgets, lead times, forecasting material needs, and resolving supplier discrepancies. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, production teams, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure on-time project execution.
