Job Description

I'm recruiting for a Senior Direct Sourcing Specialist with a leading technology manufacturer. This role is focused on sourcing and supplier management for electronic components, PCBAs, and EMS/contract manufacturing partners, with significant ownership over supplier strategy, cost optimization, negotiations, and supply continuity. Contract-to-hire opportunity, converting to FTE after 6 months Onsite in West Greenwich, RI Responsibilities Develop and execute sourcing strategies for direct materials, including electronic components, PCBAs, and EMS suppliers. Manage relationships with global suppliers and contract manufacturers, driving performance, quality, and delivery improvements. Lead supplier negotiations, commercial agreements, and cost-reduction initiatives. Conduct market analysis to identify supply risks, cost-saving opportunities, and sourcing strategies. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities by ensuring timely sourcing of components and materials. Drive supplier scorecards, business reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives. Manage RFQs, RFPs, contract administration, and procurement documentation. Qualifications 5+ years of sourcing, procurement, or commodity management experience within an electronics manufacturing environment. Experience sourcing electronic components, PCBAs, semiconductors, EMS services, or electro-mechanical assemblies. Strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiations. Experience managing EMS/Contract Manufacturer relationships. Proven success driving cost savings, supply continuity, and supplier performance improvements. Familiarity with ERP/procurement systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar preferred).
