In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing process, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring the seamless flow of materials and supplies essential to our operations. Your expertise in ERP systems and materials management will drive efficiency, cost savings, and supply chain excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where proactive sourcing and negotiation skills are highly valued. Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain purchase orders within the ERP system.
  • Monitor inventory levels to support production requirements.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding deliveries, shortages, and lead times.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and purchasing-related issues.
  • Assist with supplier performance monitoring and compliance activities.
  • Coordinate with Production Planning to ensure material availability.
  • Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts and physical inventory verification.
  • Monitor purchased material quality and assist with non-conforming material resolution.
  • Assist with disposition of obsolete inventory and supplier returns.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and system data.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Adhere to food safety, GMP, HACCP, and company safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education Associate degree preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. 2+ years of purchasing, inventory control, or supply chain experience preferred. Food manufacturing experience preferred. Qualifications Proven experience with ERP systems such as
SAP, SAP ERP, JD
Edwards, Oracle EBS or equivalent supply chain management software. Strong understanding of materials management, purchasing processes, and vendor relationship management. Skilled in using spreadsheets and Excel data analysis for procurement planning and cost analysis. Knowledge of inventory management techniques including inventory control and logistics coordination. Excellent communication skills for vendor negotiations and internal stakeholder collaboration. Familiarity with contracts, sourcing strategies, pricing models, and supply chain best practices. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities with attention to detail.
