Job Duties- Source and identify new vendors and suppliers
- Request pricing and quotes from multiple vendors
- Compare pricing, availability, lead times, freight, and terms
- Negotiate with vendors to obtain competitive pricing
- Purchase steel, pipe, fencing materials, trailer parts, welding supplies, and other products
- Create and submit purchase orders
- Monitor inventory needs and reorder materials as necessary
- Track open purchase orders and follow up on deliveries
- Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors
- Continuously look for opportunities to reduce purchasing costs
- Verify pricing and resolve discrepancies with vendors
- Coordinate with sales, warehouse, and management to understand purchasing needs
- Maintain organized purchasing and vendor records
