Job Description

We are looking for a Buyer to support purchasing operations for a manufacturing environment in Superior, Wisconsin. This Long-term Contract position focuses on maintaining material availability, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely procurement to meet production and inventory demands. The ideal candidate will bring strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage orders and supplier communication in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
  • Assess stock levels and purchasing trends to identify replenishment needs and prevent material shortages.
  • Prepare, issue, and oversee purchase orders within the company procurement system, ensuring accuracy from creation through closure.
  • Communicate with vendors regularly to confirm order progress, track expected delivery timing, and address potential delays.
  • Collect supplier acknowledgments, confirmations, and supporting documents needed for purchasing and receiving processes.
  • Partner with production, inventory, and other internal stakeholders to align procurement activity with operational requirements.
  • Track material supply status and inventory position to help maintain consistent product availability.
  • Keep purchasing files, order details, and system information current and accurate for reporting and operational use.
  • Investigate and help resolve supply interruptions, shipment issues, or delivery discrepancies in coordination with suppliers and internal teams.
