full-time Position Overview Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will serve as Xiente's strategic, operational, financial, and community leader. The CEO will lead a complex, multi-program nonprofit organization with a budget exceeding $12 million and a mission focused on reducing poverty and creating pathways to economic mobility. The CEO will work closely with a strong senior and middle management team and the Board to establish strategic priorities, strengthen organizational performance, support effective program delivery, and position Xiente for sustainable growth. The CEO will ensure that the organization has the people, systems, resources, partnerships, and accountability necessary to execute its vision. A central priority for the CEO will be to scale and strengthen the Prosperity Project and advance Xiente's opportunities in real estate and community development. The CEO will help translate these opportunities into a clear growth strategy, identify the partnerships and resources required to achieve it, and ensure that growth remains grounded in Xiente's mission and commitment to the communities it serves. The CEO will also serve as Xiente's primary ambassador, building relationships with residents, government officials, philanthropic and corporate leaders, financial institutions, community partners, and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will be a visible, relational, and strategic leader who can listen deeply, build trust, communicate a compelling vision, and work effectively through others to achieve results. Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Growth Partner with the Board, staff, and community to develop and execute a clear strategic vision for Xiente's next phase of growth. Lead the continued development and scaling of the Prosperity Project, including opportunities to leverage technology, partnerships, and expanded geographic reach. Advance Xiente's real estate and community development strategy, including affordable housing and the strategic use of organizational and community assets. Ensure that Xiente's programs and resources are aligned around its mission and broader economic mobility strategy. Organizational & Team Leadership Lead, support and continue to build a strong senior and middle management team with clear roles, accountability, and shared priorities. Foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, inclusion, transparency, and continuous learning. Ensure that Xiente has the organizational capacity, talent, systems, and resources needed to support growth and high-quality program delivery. Work with the Board and leadership team to monitor organizational performance, manage risk, and strengthen long-term sustainability. Financial Sustainability & Fund Development Oversee the organization's financial performance and stewardship of a budget exceeding $12 million in partnership with the Board and finance leadership. Strengthen and diversify revenue through philanthropy, government, corporate partnerships, individual giving, and other appropriate sources. Build the relationships and resources necessary to support the growth of the Prosperity Project and real estate initiatives. Ensure effective financial management, compliance, and risk oversight. External Relations, Partnerships & Community Leadership Serve as Xiente's chief ambassador and build strong relationships across Philadelphia's philanthropic, corporate, financial, civic, government, and community sectors. Develop strategic partnerships that expand Xiente's reach, resources, and impact. Maintain a visible presence in the communities Xiente serves and ensure that resident perspectives inform the organization's work. Represent Xiente as a credible and compelling voice on economic mobility, housing, and community development. Program & Impact Leadership Work with the leadership team to ensure strong program quality, integration, evaluation, and measurable outcomes. Strengthen the integration of Xiente's programs as components of the Prosperity Project and its broader economic mobility strategy. Use data, community insight, and continuous learning to strengthen impact while preserving Xiente's relational and client-centered approach. Clearly communicate the Prosperity Project to a broad audience such as the program participants, direct staff, academics, funders, government officials and stakeholders outside of Philadelphia.

The Leader:

Required Significant senior executive leadership experience in a complex nonprofit, community development, public-sector, or closely related organization, with experience managing a multi-million-dollar organization, multiple programs, funding sources, contracts, and stakeholders. Demonstrated success in setting and executing strategy, leading organizational growth, and translating complex initiatives into measurable results. Proven ability to build, lead, and develop strong executive and management teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and excellence. Strong financial acumen, including experience overseeing organizational budgets, financial performance, risk management, compliance, and long-term financial sustainability. Demonstrated success in building and diversifying revenue through philanthropy, government, corporate partnerships, individual giving, or other funding sources. Exceptional relationship-building skills and the ability to develop trusted partnerships across community, government, philanthropic, corporate, civic, and institutional sectors. Strong understanding of community-centered leadership, with the ability to work authentically with residents and families experiencing economic hardship Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and public communication skills. Knowledge of and appreciation for Latino culture. Experience designing and implementing operational models in new markets. Preferred Fluency in Spanish and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and community stakeholders in both languages. Knowledge of Philadelphia's civic, community, and nonprofit ecosystem. Experience leading a community development corporation or similarly complex community-based organization. Experience with affordable housing development, housing finance, real estate, or community development. Experience scaling an innovative program, initiative, or platform through technology, partnerships, or geographic expansion. Experience with generational poverty, economic mobility, workforce development, early childhood education, or related family-serving systems. Experience with Head Start/Early Head Start or other federally funded programs. Experience working across government, philanthropy, business, education, healthcare, and community sectors. Education Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field such as public administration, business, social work, education, urban planning, public policy, or a related discipline.

Philadelphia, PA Compensation:

$200,000-$225,000 annually, plus bonus and comprehensive benefits.
